You can always trust in point and click adventures to get the best laughs when it comes to comedy. DEPONIA is no different a tale of unusual love featuring offbeat characters in a beautifullydepicted steampunk world. Full of twists and turns, you explore the titular trash planet as Rufus, a grumpy bloke who dreams of a better life in the skies, where the wealthy roam amongst the floating cities above. But hes sat in the garbageladen village of Kuvaq instead, convinced that hes worth more than his lot. When the angelic Goal plummets from one of the privileged floating cities in the sky however, Rufus spies an opportunity to get access to the high life. And so, you just work through all kinds of puzzles and scenarios in order to get Goal back to her home. While thats easier said than done, it turns out that Rufus is a dead ringer for the girls upperclass husband... With an art style inspired by Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett and Matt Groening, and a lighthearted tale to tell, DEPONIA looks to follow in the footsteps of Monkey Island and other classic point and click adventures in providing a wonderfully wacky experience from start to finish.
